Do you fondue?

While in Myrtle Beach this week I had fondue at the Melting Pot for the first time. Now, I've had your regular old chocolate fondue at the Vieve's famous wine and fondue parties, but had never experienced something quite like this before. Pomp and circumstance with the waiters and three huge courses of dip-able lunacy.

The verdict? Take it or leave it. Dessert (truffle chocolate) was fantastic, and I've discovered a new love for chocolate dipped rice krispy treats, but I'd like more to my dinner than 2 bites of meat every 2 minutes.

  1. Diva, while I agree with you on the chocolate fondue, especially with the chocolate and wine fondue parties that the Vieve threw, I would recommend giving fondue another shot. My family has a tradition that every Christmas Eve we have Cheese fondue (as our main course) and ceasar salad, all made at home. There is something nice about being able to share that time with loved ones, and in our family fondue has a tradition. If lady drops bread(or whatever she is dipping into the pot) she has to give one of the males at the table a kiss on the cheek. If a man drops something in, he must buy the next bottle of wine!

I say, give it another try.
